This Shelter needs a major overhaul of staff. These poor animals continue to suffer and the mistreatment is horrible. Maria Sanchez is also a victim. She is the voice of these animals and a very caring human being. PLEASE DO SOMETHING!

I am sick of leaving posts urging this shelter to allow the volunteers to handle the shelter. I do not understand why this cannot be done except there is funny business going on. Someone is paying these people to do nothing. Is it a relation. Family member. This is corrupt. Hard to believe you cannot fire these people unless there is a corrupt system. I hope no one gives up. This shelter among a few others do nothing. Nothing to help these dogs
Have any of the rescues been contacted to attend the ad hoc committee meeting that is supposed to take place tomorrow (per the last council meeting announcement)??
What the hell is wrong with these people? They sound like a bunch of sadists. Why isn’t something being done. It seems like they’re on some kind of power trip. Disgusting!
When is the mayor going to wake up and realize that this problem is not going to go away?

Sol, Maria, Steve, Marla — you are all HEREOS!!! You are exposing so clearly, so completely the ILLEGAL killings and operations going on at SBC Shelter. How can they not respond to your points?! You were all so calm and spoke perfectly (especially you, Sol). My heart is breaking long with yours as I sit sobbing and raging over the injustices!! I am so glad the WOR flights got off the ground with all the dogs that were lucky enough to go. This should have been an embarrassment to the shelter that it even had to be done. I am going to contact Marla to see about taking these concerns to the Governor. He is the one man who is ultimately responsible for the CA laws to be enforced, along with the Atty General. It is time that the criminal be brought to justice.
